Together they watched you grow, Each seed they taught you I did sew, We smiled in pleasure as He reminded me, Of the time of parting and how He’d said “You’ll see!” Now, I fly among the skies with stardust at my heels, I dance in the light on your window sill I sing in the wind as it brushes your cheek. I greet you in the spring flower. I speak to you in dreams, listen carefully… For I have much to say in many ways. Now ‘Go Way You’ and celebrate life! Know you are loved and I am here. I see and know much more now. It is all so unbelievable. How I wish you could see.. I understand so much than before! I fly, I sing, I laugh . . . listen for it. I am there in your heart. We smiled in pleasure as He reminded me, Of the time of pain and how he’d said “You’ll see!” I have passed beyond the veil and now can clearly see, Where Imagination ends and reality begins, I have escaped the bonds of earth. A child of four I played with Him, Their name for Him “my imaginary friend”, Though real to me, He was you see, For I’d reach for Him and there He’d be. Then I turned and I was older, Now I spoke and now I was bolder, For by my side still He walked, My ‘Imaginary Friend’ with whom I talked. The years have quickly come and gone, But still He stays as He’s always done, Even when in red, I ran the race, He stood before me with a gentle smile! So beautiful My mind had never Imagined! I looked and saw My childhood Friend, There to greet me, and welcome me in! He took my hand and said ‘All is well;, Still your fears, I will dry their tears. For soon that special gift they’ll behold. And then, my child, they will forget the tears |
